Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen strawberries
  • 1 whole frozen banana sliced
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk or milk of choice
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup optional, adjust sweetness to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 2 Serving bowls

Method

  1. Prepare all ingredients. If not already done, slice the banana and hull the strawberries.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, frozen banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey or maple syrup, and vanilla extract to your blender.
  3. Blend until smooth and thick. If the mixture is too thick to blend, add a splash more almond milk, a little at a time, until it blends smoothly.
  4. Divide the smoothie mixture evenly between 2 bowls.
  5. Arrange toppings (fresh strawberries, granola, coconut, chia seeds, and almonds) on top as desired.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy with a spoon.

Notes

For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and sweetener.
Adjust the sweetness to taste by adding more or less honey/maple syrup.
Freeze any leftovers in popsicle molds for a fun frozen treat.
This smoothie bowl is best served immediately for optimal texture.
