Ingredients
  

  • 2 medium ripe bananas, peeled Approximately 240 g.
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, hulled Approximately 150 g.
  • 1 cup low-fat milk or non-dairy alternative 240 ml.
  • 1/2 cup plain yogurt or non-dairy yogurt Approximately 120 g.
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Optional, about 10 ml.
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes About 5-6 cubes.

  • 2 Serving glasses

Method
 

  1. Peel the bananas and cut them into chunks.
  2. Hull the strawberries and cut any large ones in half.
  3. Add the banana chunks, strawberries, milk, yogurt, honey (if using), and ice cubes to the blender.
  4. Blend on high until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 30-45 seconds.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness with a bit more honey if needed.
  6. Pour the smoothie evenly into two glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

For a thicker smoothie, add more ice or use frozen bananas.
To make it dairy-free, use almond, soy, or oat milk, and replace yogurt with a plant-based alternative.
You can add a tablespoon of chia seeds or ground flaxseed for extra fiber and nutrition.
Fresh or frozen strawberries can be used; if using frozen, you may not need ice cubes.
