This creamy, spiced pumpkin smoothie is a delicious and nourishing treat, perfect for breakfast or a healthy snack. Blending together seasonal pumpkin, warming spices, and a touch of sweetness, it brings all the flavors of pumpkin pie in a light, drinkable form.

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 medium banana
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain or vanilla
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk Can swap for any milk of your choice.
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup Use pure maple syrup.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 cup ice cubes About 8 cubes.
  • a pinch of salt

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 2 Glasses for serving

Method
 

  1. Add the pumpkin puree, banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, ice cubes, and salt to your blender.
  2. Blend on high until smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. Scrape down the sides if needed.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness or spices if desired. Blend again briefly to mix.
  4. Pour into two glasses and serve immediately.
  5. Optional: Garnish with a dash of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream for a treat.

Notes

For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt and ensure maple syrup is pure.
You can swap almond milk for any milk of your choice.
For extra protein, add a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
To make it thicker, use frozen banana or add more ice.
Garnish with a dash of cinnamon or a dollop of whipped cream for a treat.
