Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks About 165 g.
  • 1 small banana Peeled and sliced, about 100 g.
  • 1 cup coconut milk Full-fat or light.
  • 1 cup ice cubes About 8 medium ice cubes.
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional, to taste.
  • 1 tablespoon shredded coconut For garnish, optional.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cup
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 2 Serving glasses

Method

  1. Prepare the pineapple by cutting it into chunks, and peel and slice the banana.
  2. Add pineapple, banana, coconut milk, and ice cubes to the blender.
  3. If you prefer a sweeter smoothie, add honey or maple syrup.
  4. Blend on high speed for about 60 seconds, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. If the smoothie is too thick, add a splash of water or more coconut milk and blend again.
  6. Pour the smoothie into two glasses.
  7. Garnish with a sprinkle of shredded coconut if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra chill, use frozen pineapple instead of fresh, and skip the ice cubes.
Make it vegan by using maple syrup as a sweetener.
Add a squeeze of lime for a tangy kick.
Increase protein by adding a spoonful of Greek yogurt or a scoop of protein powder.
