Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 medium banana, ripe
  • 1 cup coconut milk, full-fat Canned is best.
  • 1/4 cup Greek yogurt, unsweetened Optional for creaminess.
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Optional, depending on sweetness preference.
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes About 6-8 cubes.
  • pineapple wedges or cherries For garnish, optional.

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 2 Glasses

Method
 

  1. Peel the banana and add it to the blender.
  2. Add the frozen pineapple chunks and coconut milk to the blender.
  3. Scoop in the Greek yogurt, if using, and drizzle in the honey or maple syrup.
  4. Add the ice cubes.
  5. Blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  6. Taste, and add more sweetener if desired. Blend again briefly to combine.
  7. Pour the smoothie into 2 glasses.
  8. Garnish with pineapple wedges or cherries, if desired.
  9. Serve immediately while cold and enjoy!

Notes

You can substitute coconut milk with light coconut milk or coconut water for a lighter version.
Use frozen banana for a thicker texture.
For a vegan version, use a plant-based yogurt or skip the yogurt entirely.
If you like it extra cold, chill your glasses in the freezer beforehand.
To make it a classic pina colada cocktail, you can add a splash of rum (for adults only).
