Method
- Peel the banana and add it to the blender.
- Add the frozen pineapple chunks and coconut milk to the blender.
- Scoop in the Greek yogurt, if using, and drizzle in the honey or maple syrup.
- Add the ice cubes.
- Blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
- Taste, and add more sweetener if desired. Blend again briefly to combine.
- Pour the smoothie into 2 glasses.
- Garnish with pineapple wedges or cherries, if desired.
- Serve immediately while cold and enjoy!
Notes
You can substitute coconut milk with light coconut milk or coconut water for a lighter version.
Use frozen banana for a thicker texture.
For a vegan version, use a plant-based yogurt or skip the yogurt entirely.
If you like it extra cold, chill your glasses in the freezer beforehand.
To make it a classic pina colada cocktail, you can add a splash of rum (for adults only).
