Ingredients
  

  • 2 teaspoons matcha green tea powder
  • 2 medium bananas (fresh or frozen) Use frozen bananas for an extra creamy, frosty smoothie.
  • 2 cups fresh spinach leaves
  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk Substitute with oat, soy, or dairy milk as desired.
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 1 Glasses for serving

Method
 

  1. Peel and slice the bananas. If using fresh, you may want to add a few extra ice cubes for texture.
  2. Place bananas, spinach, matcha powder, almond milk, and honey or maple syrup into the blender.
  3. Add the ice cubes on top.
  4. Blend on high until the smoothie is completely smooth and bright green, about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding more honey or maple syrup.
  6. Pour into glasses and serve immediately, garnished with a sprinkle of extra matcha powder if desired.

Notes

Use frozen bananas for an extra creamy, frosty smoothie.
Add 1 tablespoon chia seeds or hemp seeds for extra fiber and protein.
Substitute almond milk with oat, soy, or dairy milk as desired.
For a richer taste, add 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt.
