Green Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups fresh spinach, packed
  • 1 medium banana, peeled and sliced
  • 1 cup frozen pineapple chunks
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 4-6 pieces ice cubes Add last for extra chill and creaminess.

  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 1 Measuring spoons
  • 1 Cutting board
  • 2 Glasses

Method
 

  1. Prepare all your ingredients. Wash the spinach, peel and slice the banana.
  2. Add the spinach, banana, frozen pineapple, almond milk, Greek yogurt, chia seeds, and optional honey or maple syrup into the blender.
  3. Add the ice cubes last for extra chill and creaminess.
  4. Blend on high for 1-2 minutes, or until the mixture is completely smooth and bright green.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a bit more honey or maple syrup.
  6. Pour into two glasses, and enjoy immediately!

Notes

You can substitute kale for spinach, but start with 1 cup as kale has a stronger flavor.
For a vegan version, use plant-based yogurt.
To boost protein, add a scoop of your favorite protein powder.
Adjust the thickness by adding more or less almond milk.
