Ingredients
  

  • 1 inch piece fresh ginger root, peeled and sliced
  • 1 medium banana, peeled
  • 1 cup pineapple, chopped fresh or frozen
  • 1 cup orange juice fresh or store-bought
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt, plain
  • 1 tablespoon honey optional
  • 1 cup ice cubes about 8 cubes

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Peeler or small knife
  • 1 Measuring cups
  • 2 Glasses for serving

Method
 

  1. Peel and slice the ginger root into thin pieces to make blending easier.
  2. Place the sliced ginger, banana, pineapple, orange juice, Greek yogurt, honey (if using), and ice cubes into the blender.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high for about 60 seconds, or until smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more honey if desired, then blend briefly to combine.
  5. Pour the smoothie into glasses and serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

For an even colder smoothie, use frozen banana or pineapple.
If you prefer a thinner smoothie, add a splash more orange juice or water.
Adjust the amount of ginger for more or less spice.
This recipe is easily doubled for more servings.
