Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup cottage cheese (low-fat or full-fat)
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 medium banana, ripe, sliced About 120g
  • 1 cup frozen mixed berries 140g
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup Optional for sweetness
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ cup ice cubes About 6 cubes, optional

  • 2 Tall glasses for serving

Method
 

  1. Add the cottage cheese, almond milk, banana, mixed berries, honey or maple syrup (if using), vanilla extract, and ice cubes to the blender.
  2. Blend on high speed for about 1 minute, or until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed by adding a touch more honey or maple syrup.
  4. Pour into two tall glasses and serve immediately for the freshest flavor and best texture.
  5. For a thicker smoothie, reduce the amount of almond milk if desired.
  6. If making it dairy-free, substitute cottage cheese with soft tofu or a dairy-free yogurt.
