Ingredients

  • 2 cups frozen pitted cherries
  • 1 medium banana peeled
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt plain or vanilla
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup optional, adjust to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes optional, for extra chill

Equipment

  • 1 Blender
  • 1 Measuring cups and spoons
  • 2 Glasses

Method

  1. Add the frozen cherries, banana, Greek yogurt, almond milk, honey (if using), and vanilla extract into the blender.
  2. If you prefer a frosty smoothie, add the ice cubes.
  3. Blend on high speed for 45–60 seconds until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  4. Taste the smoothie; if you'd like it sweeter, blend in additional honey or maple syrup.
  5. Pour the smoothie evenly into two glasses.
  6. Serve immediately, garnished with a few extra cherries or a sprinkle of chia seeds if desired.

Notes

For a dairy-free version, use coconut yogurt or another plant-based yogurt.
Fresh cherries work if you pit them and add extra ice cubes.
To boost fiber and omega-3s, add a tablespoon of chia or flax seeds before blending.
This smoothie is also great as a base for a smoothie bowl—just reduce the milk for a thicker texture.
