Ingredients
  

  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries Approx. 150 g.
  • 1 cup low-fat milk or non-dairy milk Such as almond or oat milk; approx. 240 ml.
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt Or plant-based yogurt; approx. 120 g.
  • 2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup Adjust to taste.
  • 1/2 cup ice cubes Optional, for a colder, thicker smoothie; approx. 70 g.

Equipment

  • 1 blender
  • 1 measuring cups and spoons
  • 2 glasses for serving

Method
 

  1. Peel the banana and slice it into smaller chunks for easier blending.
  2. Place the banana, blueberries, milk, Greek yogurt, and honey or maple syrup into the blender.
  3. If you prefer a colder or thicker smoothie, add the ice cubes as well.
  4. Blend on high speed for about 30 to 60 seconds, until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  5. Taste and adjust the sweetness, adding more honey or syrup if desired.
  6. Pour the smoothie evenly into two glasses and serve immediately.

Notes

For a vegan smoothie, use plant-based yogurt and milk, and substitute honey with maple syrup or agave.
Add a tablespoon of chia seeds, flax seeds, or a scoop of protein powder for an extra nutritional boost.
You can use frozen banana to make your smoothie extra thick and creamy.
Decorate with extra blueberries or banana slices on top for presentation.
