- If using raw beet, peel and chop it into small chunks. For a milder flavor, you can steam the beet for 2 minutes to soften.
- Chop the banana and apple into medium pieces for easier blending.
- Add chopped beet, banana, apple, orange juice, yogurt, grated ginger, water, and ice cubes into the blender.
- Blend on high until smooth and creamy, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed.
- Taste and adjust sweetness—add a small drizzle of honey or maple syrup if desired.
- Pour into two glasses and enjoy immediately.
Notes
For extra protein, add one tablespoon of chia seeds or a scoop of protein powder to the blender.
You can substitute the apple with pear for a different flavor.
If you don't have fresh beet on hand, use cooked or pre-packaged beet (but reduce blending time).
